The Glass Menagerie Preview

Pioneer Valley’s Center Stage has undertaken the prestigious and challenging play of The Glass Menagerie, by Tennessee Williams. Since mid-August, the cast, understudies, crew, and directors have all invested a great deal of time and energy into perfecting the production. The Glass Menagerie is a touching narrative about a struggling family of three living amidst the Great Depression; the family members each have contrasting aspirations for themselves and each other, and their personal goals spark conflict within the family.

There are four characters in the play: Tom Wingfield (Isaias Maldonado) the narrator and frustrated second child; Laura Wingfield (Naomi Mau) the socially anxious first child; Amanda Wingfield (Edianna Ysip) the insufferable mother; Jim O’Connor (Robert Zarate) the gentleman caller.

Everyone is encouraged to go and see the production! Show dates are September 25, 26, 27, 28, and the start time is 7:00 pm. You will not want to miss the show!

Special thanks to the directors: Ms. Vangronigan and Ms. Harwin, their students and the student director Allison Mangsat for all of the time and commitment put into the show.
Another special thanks to Mr. Dearborn and Anthony Martinez for filming and editing the video.
