Career of the Week: Agriculture

What do they do ?

They practice farming including cultivation for the soil in order to plant crops in order to provide food to a certain population or sell their products at a  national/international level. Basically they keep humanity fed.

What courses should I take?

As many well know, if they wish to go into agriculture many join FFA. Not only join FFA but be involved such as running for chapter office, or raising an animal to show at the fair or any other activities they do. Some classes agricultural students usually take are:

  • Ag Chemistry
  • Agricultural Business
  • Environmental science
  • Biology
  • Statistics

Microeconomics and any other class that has “Agricultural” in its name
