Denim Day #SexualAssaultAwareness
On April 25, our S.H.A.R.e (Safe, Healthy, Adolescent, Relationships) club put together a rally to help spread the knowledge of sexual assault. Californians across the state were urged to wear denim jeans to participate in Denim Day of California. Denim Day California campaign began in 1999 with CALCASA and LACAAW as part of the international protest of an Italian High Court decision to overturn a rape conviction because the victim was wearing jeans.
