Isle of Dogs
Isle of Dogs is a drama/comedy from acclaimed director Wes Anderson, who tells the story of 12 year old boy Atari when his uncle Kobayashi outlaws dogs in Megasaki City, and puts them on an island simply titled Trash Island. Atari tries to find his dog Spots and asks for the help of Chief, Rex, Boss, and Duke. At the same time Atari is being tracked from Megaski. Over a hundred dogs were put there for spreading canine flu, lice and fleas. There is a group trying to expose Kobayashi for using his medical research team to spread all of this through out the city. The film stars, Bill Murray, Jeff Goldblum,, Edward Norten and Bryan Cranston. I would say see at least one of Wes’s films and see if you like it, if you do, I would recommend you should see this. If you don’t that is fine its not your typical movie about dogs, just know that. Side note: its stop motion, like the nightmare before Christmas or Coraline. Overall I loved it and the characters were so different from one another and the story had many interesting moments.
