“The most important thing when it comes to taking care of my skin would have to be knowing what skin type I have and how to cleanse it properly. My favorite skincare product would have to be either aloe vera or black soap because they both helped my scars fade and got rid of my actual acne. Every day I wash my face with black soap, dab to dry, put some aloe vera on, then rub E oil on my skin and put lotion on that has no fragrance because all of that and chemicals makes me break out, I’m pretty strict with it. I struggled with acne for like three years and I remembered it was so stressful and it made me super insecure and shy and I never really wanted to go back to feeling that way. It’s very important for me to take care and maintain my skin so I can feel good on the outside and the inside. Figure out what type of skin you have (by a dermatologist) and what will work for it.” – Maria Guadalupe Mungia (12)

“My skincare routine is to wash my face daily. I take skincare seriously. I don’t have a recommendation for a skincare product because I don’t use any products. One tip I’d give people to maintain their skin healthy is to eat right because what you eat can affect your skin.” -Aracely Moreno (12)
