“This quote caught my attention because people shouldn’t focus on the problems in their life. They should try and get passed it because if they keep on focusing on problems they will never get any new opportunities. By trying to achieve your goals you will have better opportunities then sitting back and not doing anything about it. Even if you don’t achieve your goals you will at least know you tried than by not trying at all. Yes, I have tried new things and tried not to worry about the problems in my life. I get through my problems to achieve better things by not giving up and not losing my focus on things that don’t matter. I have many problems in my life, but I will not spend so much time worrying about it because that will not take me anywhere. My mind is set on going straight to a four-year university after high school and perusing my degree in Liberal Studies. When I’m older I want to become an elementary teacher. I’ve been trying my best in school and by trying my best it has given me the opportunity to
get accepted into four universities. So far, I’ve been accepted into Fresno State, Sacramento State, Cal Poly, Pomona, and UC Merced. I have been given many opportunities because I have been trying very hard by not giving up.” -Elizabeth Morales (12)
