Gradnite Sales Surprisingly Slow

Gradnite sales haven’t been so good these past couple days. Why you might ask? Some say it’s too expensive and it was not their first choice to go to Six Flags. Last year seniors voted on whether to go to Six Flags or Disneyland and although Disneyland won, the tickets could not be purchased. According to Ms. Walters, “We used a third party purchaser for the tickets- USA Student Travel- and tickets were requested in May, the day after the vote. Although USA Student Travel has proven reliable in the past, this year they failed to get the park hopper passes. We will not be using them again.”

As far as the high cost, the Six Flags Park ticket is $95 and each bus costs nearly from $2,000-2,500. Interestingly it would have been even more ($170) had the Disneyland tix been secured.

I got several seniors’ thoughts on whether they will be attending Gradnite:

“I will not be going to Gradnite because the prices or tickets are a little too expensive and I don’t like Six Flags. Since I won’t be attending Gradnite my plans are probably just to hang out with my friends.  If I had a choice to go some where other than Six Flags and Disneyland I would’ve gone to Universal Studios because it’s more exciting, there are way better rides and everything is better at Universal Studios.” – Jorge Valentin

“Heck yes I’m going to GradNite! I’m going because I want to experience all of the senior activities to have a memorable last year of high school. Yeah the tickets are a bit pricey but we all knew senior year would be expensive! If I could have chosen to go somewhere other than Six Flags, I would have gone to Disneyland because Six flags is kind of boring and is smaller than Disneyland. And both parks almost have the same rides and are both really fun but I would have liked to do something different from all the past graduating classes.” – Lizeth Navarro

“Of course I’m going to Gradnite!!! I’m looking forward to it because I’m sure that it will be a fun exciting time spent with my friends. I wouldn’t have chosen any other place to go to on Gradnite other than Six Flags! I’m actually happy we are going there instead of Disneyland, I know surprising right? I love to go on thrilling rides and Six Flags offers that, I especially love to go on thrilling rides with my friends who also love roller coasters, it just makes it more exciting and fun when people love the same kinds of rides as you.” – Ariel Ruiz

“No I won’t be attending Gradnite because the tickets prices are way over priced, and I don’t think it’s worth it since I have a season pass and I go all the time so it’ll just be boring for me. I know a lot of my classmates will be going somewhere else that night or to other amusement parks. I like Six Flags but I would definitely preferred to go to Disneyland like originally planned.” – Ivanna
