Day Without Immigrants Pt 2
Immigrants across the United States wear white to stand up for their ancestors and what they believe in. The boycott taking place on 2/16/18 is influencing students, as well as adults, to wear white and force them not to say anything. This week I interviewed students on if they’ll be taking the pledge to wear white.
Q: Will you be taking the pledge to wear white and stand up for the immigration community?
A: “Yes I will be taking the pledge to wear white because I stand up for what I think is right and all I’m hoping for, is everyone and every thing in the U.S. to have peace.” -Cynthia Tovar (10)

A: “I’ll be wearing white because most of my family are immigrants and I understand the struggles every one goes through just to be an American citizen.” -Ruben Lopez (11)
