FFA Promotes Welding at El Camino Career Day

FFA+Promotes+Welding+at+El+Camino+Career+Day

Yesterday we had a great time helping at the welding trailer for the El Camino Jr. High Career Day. We helped the students build airplanes, which they could customize.  Our students were excellent teachers and were touched to see how thrilled the El Camino students were to take home their own airplanes that they welded.

Our students worked side by side with Allan Hancock students and staff and Melfred Borzall employees for six hours straight. They kept those students moving through the welding booths and even instructed some of the teachers and other Career day guests. They were fabulous. Again, our Pioneer Valley FFA students were top notch.

Afterwards, we went to lunch at Buffalo Wings and the waitress must have noticed our PV shirts and gear and sat us at the booth with the PV plaque! That was fun.

Look for our students helping at the welding trailer for our own Career Day next month.  They are eager to do this again.
