How Sleep and Breakfast Affects G.P.A.

We all grew up with the phrase from parents and teachers, “Get a good nights rest and a hearty breakfast.” But does it really affect our grades?

I asked students all over campus to see what time they fell asleep and what they ate for breakfast…

” I fell asleep at 10 pm and I didn’t eat breakfast and I have a 2.8 G.P.A.” -Kyle Reyes (10)
” I usually fall asleep later but yesterday I fell asleep at 9 pm and for breakfast I had a granola bar. My current G.P.A. is a 3.0″ – Natalie Tovar (12)
“What I had for breakfast today was an oatmeal bar and yesterday I fell asleep at 11. my G.P.A. is a 3.0”- Amy Espindola (12)
“I went to sleep at 11 and I ate Mini Wheats for breakfast my G.P.A. is 3.7”- Noel Pienado (12)
“For breakfast I drank hot chocolate and I fell asleep at 11 and my G.P.A. is a 3.2” -Maritza Ramos (12)
” I didn’t eat breakfast this time and yesterday  I went to sleep at 10 my current G.P.A. is a 3.0″ -Iris Gomez (11)

Over all it seems that having a good breakfast does affect someones G.P.A. but not falling sleep late doesn’t affect the students G.P.A.
