Student Council’s Wins Leadership award!

The Outstanding Leadership Program Award is given to the top leadership programs in the State of California. In order to apply, the student council must complete a self-study based on the California Leadership Standards. The programs are then evaluated by the California Association of Student Leaders.  There are more than 1500 submissions per year, and the top 50 are chosen for the award.  This is the 5th year that PV Student Council has won the award.

“Honestly, I felt pretty positive about wining the award since it was our 4th time wining. I felt happy and proud that my classmates and I tried and worked hard for the award. We all contributed by showing our leadership skills around campus to spread positivity.” -Gabriel Vargas (Vice President)
“Honestly I feel like we were going to win this year because we have done so much for the entire student body. We’ve accomplished so many things that haven’t been done before and I believe we deserve recognition.” Jenny Ruiz (President)
“Yes, I feel like we had a good chance at wining because we had done a lot this year. We all felt happy because all our accomplishments were well worth it. Everyone did there fair part in earning this award. I was in outreach and we did a lot of appreciation things as well as plan events and activities. We were all very grateful to have won this award.” Kassandra Mendoza
