Cafeteria Food

Pioneer Valleys cafeteria gets pretty full during lunchtime. Monday’s main entrée options are spicy chicken, chicken tenders with fries, and chilli cheese fries. Tuesday’s main entrée options are mini corn dogs with fries, or pasta with chicken covered in alfredo sauce. Wednesday’s options are chicken crispitos, or fish sandwiches served with tater tots on the side. On Thursday, the most popular option, orange chicken and steamed rice. Last but not least, Friday’s menu options are chicken nuggets and fries, or fish sticks with onion rings. This is what these students had to say about the cafeteria food.

“I think there should be healthier options. For example, there should be mini water bottles instead of milk cartons. Also, there should be healthier salads. Smaller portions of food would also be better, because sometimes we can’t finish the food and we have to throw it away. Overall, the food is alright. My favorite lunch option is the peanut butter and jelly sandwich.” -Jessica Santos (12)

“I think that the food is okay, but not great. My favorite food is the pizza. One thing I suggest is to have more of a variety of food everyday, and to have healthier food.” -Carmen Lopez (12)

“The food is okay, the fries would taste better if they had more salt. They need to make the orange chicken better. The curly fries are too crunchy. My favorite food here is the pizza, even though it’s dry.” -Kevin Romero (10)
“The food here isn’t the best. There could be more options, but the best thing on the menu is the orange chicken, its pretty fine.” -Jesse Navarro (12)
