Wonder Looms

“All 4 charms are really cool

That’s what wonderloom does for you

Make a letter for your name

Each one’s different, not the same!”

I found my calling.

“AMAAAAAAA”

“Que? Que quieres?”

“Take me to Walmart!”

I dragged my mom up and down the aisles until I found them. There they lay: glitter ones, pink ones, blue ones, even scented ones that smelled like “purple”.

Wonder Looms are small colorful rubber bands. They’re bigger than the bands kids wear on their braces, but still very small and very stretchy. I found a case of 9,000 bands. They were on clearance for $9.99.

“Can I get these ama?”

We left Walmart with a box of Wonder Looms and some biscuits.

Angelique Zepeda, freshman, has been creating things with Wonder Looms for a long time.

“It’s a stress reliever,” she said.

Like all little hobbies, Wonder Looms are a great thing to simply pass the time. Once you learn how to weave the bands, it gives you something to do while your mom cries over her novela.

You can make tons of different things with the bands, like key chains and all sorts of jewelry.

“I use these to make necklaces, bracelets, and rings,” said Angelique.

You can either use your fingers or purchase a “loom,” a tool that helps you make your item. The loom can come in handy if you’re creating a lot of stuff.

“Weaving hurts after a long time because it tends to rub your skin,” explained Angelique.

I couldn’t wait to get started on my new hobby and pass the time till school started.

Other than Walmart you can find Wonder Looms on Amazon.
