Mason Ramsey is a little yodeling boy who has been blowing up on the internet. Going viral on sites like Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. He went viral after someone posted a video of the little boy yodeling at Walmart. After a week of several memes and remixes of his yodeling, he earned an appearance on The Ellen Show; getting acknowledgement from Walmart and many celebrities, even opening for Post Malone at Coachella. Now it seems like his 15 minutes of fame are gonna last a little longer because he has released a country song he rightfully named “Famous” which you can listen to on several different platforms like Youtube, Spotify and Apple Music I’ve asked students of our school what they think of the song.

Gabriela Rivas (12) -“[The yodeling boy is] so cute, even though his outfit was ugly. It’s what made him stand out more and, his song is surprisingly catchy, I thought the song would be a bad song. It’s kinda cool how he got famous for just singing at a Walmart , out of all the people hes the one that got famous.”

Rigo Cruz (12)- “I think it’s great that how a young guy like Mason Ramsey gained all this fame by simply doing what he loves which is singing. It’s also pretty crazy to see how a single viral video can make a huge impact on someones life but the song he released is honestly good, he has talent.”

Lauren Limon (12)-  “I thought the yodeling kid was cool at first and then y’know, everyone was constantly playing it, next thing you know he’s on the Ellen show, which is really cool. Who wouldn’t want to be on the Ellen show? And to top that off he went to Coachella. Personally, I don’t really care for Mason’s song. I know it’s typical for country singers to sing about a girl but this kid is like 10, I mean, c’mon.”

So how it turns out, people actually has talent. Hopefully he dose not become a one hit wonder. But for the meantime Mason is going to enjoy the fame from a viral video. -David
