Panther Tales Take to the Ropes

March 21, 2018

This past weekend the Panther Tales club toured the ropes course at Lopez Lake -Vista Lago Adventure Park http://vistalagoadventurepark.com/

“I definitely enjoyed this trip because I had the opportunity to go on the rope course at Lopez. I always wanted to go, but I never had the chance to go. The most challenging one was the net one I literally felt like I spent 10 minutes on it. The easiest ones were the ones that you were able to just walk across. I really liked going to the restaurant after the trip because I was able to get closer with some friends in the class.” Stefanie Bribiesca 11th
“Zip lining was really fun, it made me feel like I tried something new which was out of my comfort zone. I think my friends made the experience better. I preferred zip lining all the way because it was way more relaxing and the course made me like I was going to die. This course tried my fear of heights. The nets were pretty hard and surprisingly the tie rope was pretty easy. I was surprised that it didn’t wear me out and I felt capable of doing the course but not as much I would. I was sore mostly just in my arms but that’s pretty much it. I feel like we were all really scared and we over came our fears together and that was definitely a growing and bonding experience.”Alasaundra Silva 12
“I definitely enjoyed the trip! I had an amazing day. Both zip lining and the obstacle course was great. I don’t prefer one from the other. The most challenging was the spider web. It looked simple to get through but it was very hard. Successfully I made it to the other side. There were many obstacles I found easier. After the trip I did consider myself unfit. It was has been a while since I exercised and surprisingly I did not wake up sore as I thought I would. During the trip I did bond with the class. It was great challenging ourselves and supporting each other every step of the way.” Brenda Linares 12th
“I enjoyed the trip very much because I had the opportunity to experience something new. I preferred zip lining more than the course. The course was so hard for me that I only finished one side of it. I’m afraid of heights and I was afraid I was going to fall off. The one that was the most challenging was the spider rope one because it was moving as you were trying to get across. Honestly non of them were easy for me, because all of them were hard for me. Definitely, because I haven’t worked out in a while. I woke up a little sore but not a lot like I expected. I feel like I did, because I talked to people in the class that I have never talked to before.” Elizabeth Morales 12th
“I really enjoyed zip lining, it was a fun experience. I think my favorite part was more of the rope course rather than the zip lining because I was scared ,but it made me try something new and let go of my fears. I didn’t wake up sore the next day. The most challenging part was to continue because at first I wanted to stop due to my fears taking over. I felt like I was able to support others while I was going through the course. I would definitely go again.” Andrea Meza 12th
