Banda Night!

On Friday, September 28th, Class of 2019 is hosting our very first Banda Night with real live Banda! Special guests, Banda La Perla Gitana and Los Autenticos Sierreños have volunteered their time to come perform at our school. Save the date and come support our Class of 2019!

“Banda night is a way to raise funds for the class of 2019. Almost everything was donated, as well as the music. It’s another way to bring us all together as a school, so come out and show support!” -Vanessa Ballesteros (12)
“I’m excited for Banda Night, especially since there’s going to be not just one Banda, but two! I’m definitely going to attend. My favorite song to dance to would have to be La Son de la Rabia” -Mayra Robles (Right, 11)

“I’m really excited for Banda Night because I really love dancing to Banda. I’m also excited because I heard there’s going to be two Bandas. I think Zapateado is one of my favorite types of songs to dance to that Banda plays.” -Leslie Espíndola (12)

“It’s definitely something different, our school has never had this before. I think it’s a good idea for people to learn about the Mexican culture as well as have fun.” -Alexis V. (12)

“Band Night is a 2019 fundraiser, but it’s open to all grades. It’s organized by the students in ASB. For Banda night, we’re going to be selling tacos and agua fresca, there’s also going to be not one, but two live Bandas! It’s going to be so much fun.” – Ruby Enriquez (12)

“I think Banda Night is a good way to fundraise money for Class of 2019, we all deserve to have fun our senior year. It’s important that all the classes support one another. What other way to have fun then to dance the night away?! I personally can’t go, but it will be worth it if you love dancing to Banda.” -Luz (10)
